Research and Academia

For graduates who wish to develop an academic career in the field of ocean law and policy, they may apply for doctoral studies at the NTOU Institute of the Law of the Sea, or other universities or institutions around the world.

 

Ocean-Related Practice

Graduates may choose to serve as a legal or policy specialists at a wide variety of public and private sector institutions related to ocean affairs, including shipping, port, airline, and marine surveyor corporations, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Coast Guard, the Fisheries Agency, the Maritime Port Bureau, the Customs Administration, the National Immigration Agency, and the Ocean Affairs Council.

 

Judicial Practice

Graduates may choose to pursue a career similar to that of traditional law school graduates, working as judges, prosecutors, lawyers, prosecutor investigators, Investigation Bureau agents, notaries public, etc.
